Our practice offers comprehensive eye health and vision examinations. Each of our Doctors are licensed Therapeutic Optometrists and Optometric Glaucoma Specialists.  They are licensed and trained to determine powers of vision and write contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions.  They also treat eye disorders and eye diseases, prescribe medication, and provide pre-operative and/or post-operative care for laser surgery.  They are also licensed to treat glaucoma.

Our Doctors routinely diagnose, treat, and handle the management of eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.  Additionally, they treat eye emergencies such as trauma to the eye, as well as removal of foreign bodies.

They are adept at working with patients who are hard to fit in contacts to determine and provide a comfortable solution.  Sometimes a custom contact lens is necessary, and we work with a lab to design and create the appropriate contact lenses.  We have a vast array of soft contact lenses from Vistakon, Alcon, Coopervision, Bausch & Lomb, and Rigid Gas Permeable lenses.  We keep several brands and powers of lenses in stock, and can quickly order them, too.

Insurance Plans

We participate with VSP, Medicare, Medicaid, Eyetopia, VCP/Compbenefits, Scott & White, Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Safeguard.  We are providers for most "plans" offered by the insurance companies mentioned here.  When you schedule your appointment, please let us know about ALL insurance and vision plans that you have.  We will check on specific benefits before your exam. Check with our staff if you have other types of coverage.

Facilities and Equipment

• Cirrus OCT - Optical Coherence Tomography is a technique for obtaining sub-surface images of translucent or opaque materials at a resolution of a low-power microscope.  It is, in effect, an "optical ultrasound" that captures images from within tissue to provide a cross-sectional view of the eye.  This is a painless process that only takes a few minutes.
• Humphrey Visual Field - A machine that measures a patient's field of vision.  Field loss may occur due to disease or disorders of the eye, optic nerve, or brain.  This is a painless process, generally takes about 20 minutes, and requires concentration.
• Humphrey Autorefractor/Keratometer - A machine that aids the Doctor's eye exam by taking an objective measurement of the patient's refractive error.   This is a quick and painless process.
• Pachymeter - A machine that is used to measure the thickness of the cornea.  It is useful for screening patients for glaucoma among other uses.  This is a quick and painless process that requires application of numbing drops to the eye so that the machine can gently touch the eye.
